I know another version (slightly different) sung by Ry Cooder on ""The Chieftains - The long black veil"" (BMG-RCA). Paddy Moloney (The Chieftains) says: ""My grandmother used to sing this song at trad houses parties in the Sliabh Bloom Mountains of central Ireland.
