Friday is an acoustic night at the Empress in Mexborough, it's in the Cafe Bar area and I have put a nice P A System in there. Just an informal play/singaround, no structure just do whatever and enjoy! I will of course be there to help in any way, also join in with the fun and frolics. Everyone welcome. There is a carvery available if you would like to eat. |

Subject: RE: Wath Folk Club From: GUEST,Rattler Date: 07 Dec 09 - 06:59 PM That upstairs room echoes with many years of good craic. Bernie Parry, Capstick, the Barnsley Lads, and of course hosts Geoff & Mary. I have fond memories of festivals, club nights and more recently the excellent Fire Festival. A bit too far for me as a night out from Notts. but best wishes to the new club. |

As one of our members was arriving at the Lion, Geoff was just walking bye, I was informed after they had a discussion that they were both fine, Geoff working in a call centre and enjoying that. I do hope that they call in to see us at some point, that would be nice. |
