My mum is after the lyrics of a song about "The Green Eyed Dragon with 13 tails. He feeds on little boys, puppy dogs and snails..." or even just the author. Ta.

Dick, I've located a song called "The Green Eyed Dragon" by Stanley Holloway already which I don't think is the one mum is after (this one only has 1 tail and eats policeman pie). If this is the one you're thinking of than I thought I'd save you going to too much trouble. If not I'd love to see the different lyrics.

This is all I remember too "he feeds, with greed on little boys and puppy dogs and big fat snails." Another great song which should get some air play.

This was recorded by American operatic great Richard Tucker!

It was answered in this thread back on Oct, 2006

Also in the DT as well, but without the composer's name.

I have a copy of the old 78 of this wonderful song, but it was cracked in our latest move. I really wanted this for my grandson. Any suggestions as to where I might find the actual song? The flip side of the record is called Sailorman. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Wow. I was happily surprised to see this thread was about a song. For a brief moment there, I wondered if it was timew to take the pledge for a while.
