I only found Butterfly Mornings, it's here(CLICK!)

Butterfly Mornings

Butterfly mornings
Butterfly mornings
Catch me there
Gonna get me there
If I have to climb all the mountains on the moon
I'll be in butterfly mornings
Butterfly mornings
And wild flower afternoons

I found you in the corner
Down there sitting on the sea
Gonna trace your footsteps
Underneath the waves
On the petals of a wild flower
With the sun high at noon
I want walks in butterfly mornings
And wild flower afternoons

Butterfly mornings
Wild flower afternoons

Looking for words and music for a song from "The Ballad of Cable Hogue". It was playing in the saloon and does not appear to be on the soundtrack album. It is a bluegrass sort of a song and some of the discernible lyrics include "sing out rosie". Anyone have a clue?

I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but there is actually a song called "The Ballad Of Cable Hogue". I think it is by a band called Buddy & The Huddle who, despite their name, are not rockabilly, but a German alt-country group.

The actual film, directed by Peckinpah, doesn't show up much.

Well, here's the title song:

The Ballad Of Cable Hogue lyrics
By : Calexico

I live out yonder where the snakes and scorpions run
got myself a little goldmine to bank on
one day my heart sank when I saw Madame in town
I knew her love would be the death of mine

L'amour passait, l'amour obsolète.
Pourquoi perdre sa vie à chercher l'or d'un coeur?
Je ne me noierai pas dans ce désert mystique.
Je ferme mes comptes et je repars.

(Love is passe and love is obsolete
some spend their whole lives searching for a heart of gold
I'm tired of treading water in this desert mystique
I'm cashing in my chips before I ride)

Do me a favor while I'm hanging here
Take this gold and go and hide
ne gigote pas chéri sur ta corde pendue
(Don't twist too hard darlin' on your hangin' rope)
Don't worry I'll be free in no time.

She promised me she would be there when I'd return
she didn't say she'd have a army there as well
she whispered, "J'taime Baby," as she fired that gun at me.
mais je n'ai plus de temps
(It's getting late and I'm running out of time)

I should've stayed way out yonder better off with the
scorpions and snakes
Every act which has no heart will be found out in the end
Yes I'm a little late this time,
cause her love would be the death of mine,
mine, all mine

Subject: ADD: Tomorrow Is the Song I Sing
From: Joe Offer

Tomorrow Is the Song I Sing
(from "Ballad of Cable Hogue")

Tomorrow is the song I sing
Yesterday don't mean a thing
I'll make today my next day's dawn
And I'll still be here grinning
When the sun goes down

I'll get through this day first
It's not the worst
I don't care
I'll be there
To put the sun to bed

Tomorrow is the song I sing
Tomorrow ragmen can be kings
The smile I wear will be my crown
And I'll be lighting up a lifetime when the sun goes down

Tomorrow is the song I sing
Tomorrow ragmen can be kings
'Cause sometimes kings may ragmen be
If it can happen to a king, it can happen to me

I'll get through this day first
It's not the worst
I don't care
I'll be there to put the sun to bed

Tomorrow's still the song I sing
Good or bad,
Whatever it brings
Got no choice,
Greet the day
And whatever decides old fate,
I'll make fate pay

The Calexico song is brilliant. If you get a chance to see them live, do it.

Apologies: Calexico, and not Buddy & The Huddle.

I should have looked it up before replying.

There are several copies of the DVD available on EBay. You could always buy one & transcribe for yourself (if all else fails)

And I'll be lighting up a lifetime when the sun goes down

If I don't make it through
It's up to you
To do your share
And be there to put the sun to bed

Tomorrow be the song you sing
Yesterday won't mean a thing
Make today your next days dawn
And you'll still be here grinning when today's all gone

Butterfly mornings
Butterfly mornings
Butterfly mornings
and wildflower afternoons

Catch me there
Gonna get me there
If have to climb all the mountains on the moon
I'll be in the butterfly mornings
Butterfly mornings
Butterfly mornings
and wildflower afternoons

On the wings of a butterfly
I woke to my morning
On the beams of a sunflower
On the day I was born in
On the petals of a wildflower
With the sun at high noon
I went walking in butterfly mornings
and wildflower afternoons

I found you in the cantaloupe
Down there sitting on a seed
Gonna trace your footsteps
Underneath the weeds
Gonna string up some dandelion
You're gonna wear them as beads
I'll be dancing in lace wings
and dimples on a big city sign that reads ???

Butterfly mornings
Butterfly mornings
Butterfly mornings
and wildflower afternoons

Catch me there
gonna get me there
if i have to climb all the mountains on the moon
I'll be in the Butterfly mornings
Butterfly mornings
Butterfly mornings
and wildflower afternoons

Wait for me, sunrise
Bring me some new skies
Gonna stop all my wandering
when I see what tomorrow will bring

It might bring down a taste
of a bright berry wine
or a white wing in bed
singing I'm feeling fine
it might bring by a breeze
over new moon head or ???
a touch of a lover
at the end of the day
so you wait for me sunrise
bring me some new skies
gonna stop all my wandering
when I see what tomorrow will bring
take all my troubles
and make me this w... ???
bright color peacock
... ???
my time is your time
my heart can sing
I will see what tomorrow will bring
I will see what tomorrow will bring

I have a little more of "Wait for me, Sunrise".

Wait for me, sunrise
Bring me some new skies
Gonna stop all my wond'ring
When I see what tomorrow will bring

It might bring down the taste
Of a bright berry wine
Or a white wingin' bird
Singin' "I'm feelin' fine,"
It might bring by a breeze over
New mown hay, or the
Touch of a lover
At the end of the day

So you wait for me, sunrise
Bring me some new skies
Gonna stop all my wond'ring
When I see what tomorrow will bring.

Take all my troubles and
???????????
Bright colored peacocks and
Yellow canaries
My time is your time
My heart can sing, I will
See what tomorrow will bring

I will see what tomorrow will bring

Take all my troubles and
make me west way willing me

See what tomorrow will bring
