Subject: Lyr Req: I loved the ground she walked upon From: HåvardR Date: 19 Jul 99 - 07:30 AM I've got this on a Dubliners compilation, but can't figure out all the lyrics. It's a lovely song - even a good candidate for the sad song tread. here's a fragment: The swallow sing all along the canal and I watch with a weary heart In XXXX? they ???? Touch wings, and then depart touch wings and then depart - as the summer fades away For though I loved the ground she walked upon She was not mine to stay Cheers, Håvard |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: I loved the ground she walked upon From: HåvardR Date: 20 Jul 99 - 03:17 AM Made on their 25th anniversary I think, but I don't remember the name. It also contains Christy Moore's beutiful tribute to Luke Kelly, "Irish Rover" with the Pogues (one additional verse) and "Ballad of St.Anne's Reel". I have some published lyrics of the Dubliners at home as well, but this one was to new Håvard |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: I loved the ground she walked upon From: Helen Date: 21 Jul 99 - 03:24 AM Refresh - come on you other 'Catters, help us out here with some lyrics. Havard, I didn't realise that that was the title of the song because I kept thinking of the song called Black is the Colour, where "I loved the ground whereon she walks" is just one line in the song. I'll see what is in my Dubliners Book. Helen |
