Subject: Bob Dylan and Mr. Ed From: Mike Regenstreif Date: 17 Aug 99 - 12:33 PM Rumors have it that after Bob Dylan went electric at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, he went back to his hotel room and turned on the television. On the TV, he heard Mr. Ed singing "A horse is a horse, of course, of course/And no one can talk to a horse of course/Unless, of couse, the name of the horse is the famous Mr. Ed." Dylan then turned to his manager and said, "Albert, a singing horse, now what the hell does that mean for folk music?" Mike Regenstreif |
