Subject: Our Land From: Big Mick Date: 11 Sep 99 - 12:16 PM I recall this song from a number of years ago. Might have been by O'Leary and the Bards. I can hear the tune in my head. Anyone got the lyrics, and maybe a chord sequence? I thought I had it one tape somewhere, but it seems not to be there. Mick |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Our Land From: Big Mick Date: 14 Sep 99 - 09:07 PM Susan, I am having a terrible time remembering much but the tune. The song is about how beautiful "our land" (referring to Ireland is. The last line in the verses is "our land....forever our land". There is a chorus that goes something like "our land is all we ever dreamed of, our land is forever green". The tune is in my head. I would like to find it as I am trying to put together a four song medley, and it seems I remember hearing this and thinking it would go well with America, The Beautiful. I know it is not much to go on, but the collective Mudcat Mind might very well come up with it. Big Mick |
