Subject: winters wages--a tardy birthday greeting From: bseed(charleskratz) Date: 25 Sep 99 - 03:33 AM winters wages, concertina and guitar player and member of the S.O.B.s (Sons of the Buccaneers)--which he claims are changing their name to the Starboard Watch (they've just released a CD as S.O.B.s) e-mailed me a birthday greeting--and I failed to check the birthday list to discover that his own birthday was only five days after mine (I'm the 11th, Lloyd is the 16th). Sorry for the lateness, buddy. And good luck on the CD! --seed |

Subject: RE: winters wages--a tardy birthday greeting From: Winters Wages Date: 27 Sep 99 - 12:06 PM Thank you all so much...I sure feel older though..despite your kind words...I could feel it yester at the end of the annual Festival Of The Sea. After a few pints..I have trouble remembering the words to the songs (Hmmph PJ heard Im sure.) I have been singing fiddler's Green for years...and suddenly..when your up there...many things go through your mind...the first was Gee I feel tired..then it's God! my voice sounds raspy..I sound like Don Johnson I hope I can pull this off..Before you know it..your up on the next line and it's welll errr..but I faked it..No one knew except Dick Alan Carol (of Holdstock fame)..Oh Well. Thanks so much for the greetings one and all Oh yes...Dave, I confess..I bought your wife a pint...she did such a good job on stage..I guess you were at the firehouse...thanks All Warmest regards Winters Wages |

Subject: RE: winters wages--a tardy birthday greeting From: Dave Swan Date: 27 Sep 99 - 12:19 PM Wages, You and 'seed are instrumental in reducing my beer for wife budget and in seeing that she's looked after when I'm on duty. Who could ask for more? She had a good time seeing you yesterday. Thanks. D. |

Subject: RE: winters wages--a tardy birthday greeting From: Winters Wages Date: 27 Sep 99 - 01:06 PM No problem Dave..I enjoyed hearing her play as well...She did great as well as the whole group. Seed! that CD is by the S.O.B's...not the Starboard Watch. It was one Mordicai did before he moved to Hawaii. I am not even on it. My CD has been completed and in the can right now (probably should go to the trash can ) and we are working on the graphics and liner notes, which in reality, is turning out to be a bigger job than the actual recording. It's been an 15 month project..hey! at least I can say I did it. They will make great frisbees. As a side not. I will be away back in DC for 11 days after Friday..Sooo I probably will not be a Quinn's until maybe the 14th Depending on jet lag. See Ya Wages over and out! |
