Subject: Need help with a sad song From: Phil Date: 19 Oct 99 - 11:38 PM I heard this song and I cannot find it again. It is about a man and a woman who fall in love and get married. There are three or four verses. The chorus thread contains the phrase "where have you been all my life" or something close to that. One of the verses is about when the husband is home late from the road, which he has never been before. The final verse tells of them in the hospital, on different floors, one of them has lost their memory and one day they roll the other in and he/she remembers who they are enough to get into the final chorus. The end of this song is so sad, I almost always cried, and I heard it several times. Can anybody help me to find the Lyrics and/or music and/or title for it. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Need help with a sad song From: MaryLee Date: 20 Oct 99 - 12:44 AM You are so right, about the best tear-jerker I've heard! I think it is "Where Have You Been?" I don't know the who, what's etc, but a group here (OKC) has performed it. I can give you the name of one musicians, or I can contact her for you. Let me know what is the best way to handle it, either through the forum, or direct e-note contact. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Need help with a sad song From: Frank of Toledo Date: 20 Oct 99 - 01:39 AM Originally recorded by Kathy Mattea, and as best I can recall, it was written by her husband. Look in the Cowpie Web; as I"m quite sure she's in the C&W category. Could be wrong as for the category, but I pretty certain, that's the song...... |
