How incredibly brilliant. 10 - 4 down and we take the cup home. Wonderful.

hi Arthur

Long time no see....I am not here very much these days.

Yes wonderful golf by all concerned. I have to be honest and say that I had given them up. But I watched almost every ball on the last day and was entranced as hole after hole and match after match was won by the Europeans.

Cheers

MikeL2

Hi Mike
A lot of people do not post on here much nowadays.

I still can't believe how they managed it.

I like the story about McIlroy being hounded all day and taking a bow at the end. It shows that Europeans can be as poor sportsmen as Americans.

I think it is really nice of the kind Golfers to take their sticks for walkies.

What I don't understand, is the American rudeness in not congratulating the Europeans on winning.
If America had won, there would have been hundreds of post on Mudcat BS. Poor losers.

No the American rudeness was heckling McIlroy. I thought that his lack of sportsmanship was in trying to get back at the hecklers with the bow even though they were a small minority.

But since only one media member seems to have seen it that way. I will hereby withdraw my comment about Rory. That coverage did amuse me. But it seems that it may have been puffed up a bit for the sake of the article.

I thought the person who presnted the trophy, looked right pissed off and hadn't got the decency to smile.

I think Rory did the right thing. The Americans heckled all the time and that is very very unsporting.
