Subject: RE: BS: Questions that won't be asked Wednesday From: Rapparee Date: 02 Oct 12 - 10:22 PM I've got a whole list of my own, such as asking both "Do you favor repealing the decision in 'Haas'"? But my questions are very specific and don't admit of fudging. |

Subject: RE: BS: Questions that won't be asked Wednesday From: Bobert Date: 03 Oct 12 - 05:06 PM I'd love to see Robert Reich as a moderator... I'd also love to see a real debate... Tonight is not going to be a debate... It's going to a series of sound-bites... Nothing will be talked about in depth... B~ |

Subject: RE: BS: Questions that won't be asked Wednesday From: Richard Bridge Date: 03 Oct 12 - 05:08 PM Why can't we have comments in writing? I'm not going to sit and watch a youtube vid for real information. |

Subject: RE: BS: Questions that won't be asked Wednesday From: Richard Bridge Date: 03 Oct 12 - 05:14 PM Krinkle, go and get an education, even if it's merely what you call "first grade". For Europeans who may want to knowhow to access teh live streams of the debates, see list here http://www.2012presidentialelectionnews.com/2012-debate-schedule/2012-presidential-debate-schedule/ This may be where we find out if the USA can join the table of civilised nations. |

Subject: RE: BS: Questions that won't be asked Wednesday From: GUEST,999 Date: 03 Oct 12 - 05:25 PM I guess this ain't gonna be the time I finally find out Who put the bomp In the bomp bah bomp bah bomp? Who put the ram In the rama lama ding dong? Who put the bop In the bop shoo bop shoo bop? Who put the dip In the dip da dip da dip? OK, I know the fate of Western civilization hangs on the result of these debates, but I have been searching for the answer to that group of questions since 1961. |

Subject: RE: BS: Questions that won't be asked Wednesday From: Jack the Sailor Date: 03 Oct 12 - 05:28 PM Yes! If we could only rise to the level of our poodle, Great Britain. I guess the perfect mix would be; Great Britain's colonial record and War record? Oh yeah and they have been a partner in every war in the past 25 or 30 years Greece's economics? Germany's generosity within the Euro? France's tolerance for Muslims? Canada's record on climate change? I could go on and on about what is "civilized." Nobody is perfect eh? |

Subject: RE: BS: Questions that won't be asked Wednesday From: Stringsinger Date: 03 Oct 12 - 05:45 PM What happened to the Women's League of Voters? Why are so many soldiers committing suicide? Why aren't third party candidates represented? Why isn't Guantanamo closed? Why isn't the US supporting the Kyoto Convention? Why is the US 5th Fleet still in Bahrain? Why didn't Obama go to Wisconsin? What about organized labor? Why are the oil companies allowed to ruin the environment? When will the Afghanistan war be over? What are you going to do about the mass gun killings? |

Subject: RE: BS: Questions that won't be asked Wednesday From: GUEST,999 Date: 04 Oct 12 - 03:17 AM 1961--and the questions still aren't answered. Presidential debate my ass! |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Questions that won't be asked Wednesday From: Stringsinger Date: 04 Oct 12 - 04:11 PM In spite of what Jim Lehrer said, the Presidential Commission arbitrarily decides what the format will be, how the candidates agree to which questions, and the elimination of Third Party candidates. All this is done in secret. They've stolen the honest debate format from taking it away from the League of Women Voters. In short, the debate is kind of a fraud. It definitely aint democratic. |
