Subject: RE: ANTHOLOGY OF AMERICAN FOLK MUSIC From: Rick Fielding Date: 02 Nov 99 - 08:29 PM One of my students does indeed have an "Oak" publication with words and music to at least some of the songs on the anthology. I'll try to find it. |

Subject: RE: ANTHOLOGY OF AMERICAN FOLK MUSIC From: murray@mpce.mq.edu.au Date: 03 Nov 99 - 01:34 AM I have an Oak Publication book called "Anthology of American Folk Music". It is pretty old (1973)--it predates the Smithsonian reproductions. It doesn't have all of the songs in the set; but it has lyrics, standard notation of the melody, guitar/banjo chord notation, banjo tuning used, and the strumming patterns used when applicable. Interesting enough, it has some songs that were supposed to appear in Vol IV, which never came out. Murray |
