Here are the Digital Tradition lyrics for this song. It's more-or-less what I learned from my sister when she was a Girl Scout camp counselor (we didn't sing such songs in boys' camps.) Any corrections?

RISE AND SHINE

The Lord said to Noah,
There's gonna be a floody, floody
Lord said to Noah,
There's gonna be a floody floody.
Get my children out of the muddy muddy
Children of the Lord.

cho: So rise and shine and give God the glory glory
Rise and shine and give God the glory glory
Rise and shine and give God the glory glory
Children of the Lord.

So Noah, he built him,
He built him an arky arky, (2x)
Built it out of hick'ry barky barky,
Children of the Lord.

The animals, they came in,
They came in by twosies twosies (2x)
Elephants and kangaroosies 'roosies,
Children of the Lord.

It rained and rained for
Forty daysies daysies (2x)
Drove those animals nearly crazy crazy
Children of the Lord.

The sun came out,
And dried up the landy landy (2x)
Everything was fine and dandy dandy
Children of the Lord.

The animals they went out
Went out by threesies threesies (2x)
Must have learned 'bout the birds and beesies beesies
Children of the Lord.

This is the end of
The end of my story story (2x)
Everything is hunky-dory dory
Children of the Lord.

Note: a jazzed-up version of the older, slower spiritual "Jacob's
Ladder" RG

Now, the reason why I started this thread is because Wikipedia says
"Rise and Shine" (And Give God Your Glory, Glory), written by Peter Anders Svensson & Magnus Sveningsson, and published by Universal Music Publishing Group

Could it be that this song I've known all my life and assumed to be a traditional camp song, is actually a commercial production?

I learned it in Hebrew school. Been thinking of recording it. I'm not surprised if it's commercial, it does have a sort of slick feel to me.

The Traditional Ballad Index makes reference to Dett - that's Religious Folk-Songs of the Negro as Sung at Hampton Institute, by R. Nathaniel Dett. The book is available at archive.org

Here's my transcription of "Rise and Shine" from Dett, 1909 edition:

RISE AND SHINE

CHORUS
Oh, rise and shine, an' give God de glory, glory
Rise and shine, an' give God de glory, glory
Rise and shine, an' give God de glory, glory
For de year of Juberlee.

Jesus carry de young lambs in his bosom, bosom
Carry de young lambs in his bosom, bosom
Carry de young lambs in his bosom, bosom
For de year ob Juberlee

Jesus lead de ole sheep by still waters, waters
Lead de ole sheep by still waters, waters
Lead de ole sheep by still waters, waters
For de year ob Juberlee
CHORUS

Oh, come on, mourners, get you ready, ready
Come on, mourners, get you ready, ready
Come on, mourners, get you ready, ready
For de year ob Juberlee

You may keep your lamps trimmed and burning, burning
Keep your lamps trimmed and burning, burning
Keep your lamps trimmed and burning, burning
For de year ob Juberlee
CHORUS

Oh, come on, children, don't be weary, weary
Come on, children, don't be weary, weary
Come on, children, don't be weary, weary
For de year ob Juberlee

Oh, don't you hear them bells a-ringin', ringin'
Don't you hear them bells a-ringin', ringin'
Don't you hear them bells a-ringin', ringin'
For de year ob Juberlee
CHORUS

Similar melody, too. So, it has traditional roots, but must we pay royalties for the arky, arky? Well, if it's Universal, at least it's easy to license. I learned the song in the early 1960s.

I'm wondering how far back we can trace the "arky-arky" verses, and whether or not we concur with the attribution to Peter Anders Svensson & Magnus Sveningsson. Now, I found a musician named Anders Peter Svensson - born in 1974, so that's not the guy. My sister brought the song home from Girl Scout Camp in about 1968 or something, and it was well-known by kids in the 1960s. I suppose it's quite possible the song came off a children's record at the time.
Any print sources earlier than the 1973 Folksinger's Wordbook?

Oh, I like this: dbopm :: the database of popular music shows 3 songs published in Sweden in 1995:
  • Carnival, Words: Peter Svensson/Magnus Sveningsson/Nina Persson; Music: Peter Svensson
  • Sick and Tired Words: Peter Svensson/Magnus Sveningsson; Music: Peter Svensson/Magnus Sveningsson
  • Rise and Shine Words: Peter Svensson/Magnus Sveningsson; Music: Peter Svensson/Magnus Sveningsson
I think that means we can safely discredit the Svensson attribution.....
I made the change in Wikipedia. Hope they accept it.
Here's a link to "Rise and Shine," by Svensson's group, the Cardigans: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Sp1A20VCok
