I remember once hearing a song which sounded like "You can't have Kate and Edith, too". Does anyone know that song and its lyrics? Thanks a lot Ulli

It's that tag line from an old Statler Brothers tune, I think. I'll see if I can dig up lyrics for you.

Couldn't find they lyrics, but here's some discographical information that may help you track down a copy of the original LP containing the song:

"The Statlers signed to Columbia Records in 1964, and a year later scored a huge country and pop hit with DeWitt's "Flowers on the Wall," which also lent its name to their 1966 debut album. 1967's The Statler Brothers Sing the Big Hits held true to its title's promise, generating a pair of Top Ten singles in "Ruthless" and "You Can't Have Your Kate and Edith, Too."
