Subject: RE: Fishguard Folk Festival From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 12 Feb 00 - 08:05 PM That sounds like a really great idea. Passing through Fishguard on the way to or from the ferry, it's always seemed a great little place, but I've never seen it except at odd times of the night when it's asleeep.
It would make the journey a lot more fun to have a break in the middle, whichever way you were headed. And it could make for some good sessions on the ferry, going both ways. P> Stick any more information you have on the Mudcat, like possibilities for accommodation and camping and that. |

Subject: RE: Fishguard Folk Festival From: Guy Wolff Date: 13 Feb 00 - 11:04 PM Hello, Guy here. I have wonderful memories of Fishguard from my time at Haverfordwest pottery. I used to go up for the day;I had a great Bonnieville 650.... I think I even had one date with a very nice young woman from town. She was very smart to keep it to one date, my beeing a wild American at the time.{Now older and not so wild}..I would recomend this village to anyone from this side of the Atlantic as a beautifull harbor village that is worth the visit. Also not to miss Monk's Haven just down the coast and a place as full of magic as anywhere on earth.WHen Dylan Thomas went to the coast to live was that near Fishguard???? With warmest regards, Guy |

Subject: RE: Fishguard Folk Festival From: GUEST,Sian Date: 15 Feb 00 - 06:02 AM And while in town, try to see the Fishguard Tapestry! A tremendous community project which will be a real treasure in the future. (I quite like the Fishguard and Bicentennial sausages that the local butcher is making, too) Fishguard seems to have livened up considerably in recent years! I shall put the dates down - it will make a nice break! Sian |
