I think this has been in the forum before, I seem to remember it. At least, the one I know is:

I'm going up on the mountain
And I ain't coming down till the morning
I'm going up on the mountain
And I ain't coming down in chains

2. I'm going up to set my soul free
3. I'm going up to meet my savior
(3rd line) My savior lives inside of me

That's the way I learned it, anyway. You might want to try a forum search for the name too.

That doesn't look quite right. Guess it's been too long. There's one verse that contains the lines "My savior lives inside of me, and all I have to do is set him free", so maybe the first four lines are a chorus that alternates with the verse.

This song is also on Jody Stecher's album "Goin' Up on the Mountain" which recently was reissued on the Acoustic Disc label, but I'm not sure of the title of the CD. The CD has all of "Goin' Up" and a lot of Jody's first album, "Snake Baked a Hoecake". BOth fabulous, long out-of-print albums. I'm pretty sure that Peter Rowan learned it from Jody's album. Both his and Jody's versions are great.
