A friend of mine recorded this for RCA back in the late 40's. He was the Father of Lenny Breau, his stage name, The Lone Pine Mountaineer.

It's Goodbye and So Long to You was written by the father of the great guitarist, Lenny Breau--Harold Breau who went by the name of Hal "Lone Pine". He and his wife (Betty Cody) made the original hit.

If the Phone Doesn't Ring Its Me was written and recorded by Jimmy Buffet somewhere in the 80's.

From what I read in the paper yesterday, there are plenty of people, (usually women) who could use this kind of attitude.

Police in the Kansas City area have started asking certain questions of victims when called to a domestic. For example:

Has he ever used a weapon against you?
Does he try to control your daily activities?
Has he ever tried to choke you?
Threatened to kill you or your children?
Do you think he might try to kill you or your children?

If an answer is yes, the police call a counselor right then and there and try to get the woman to talk.
