Subject: Lyr Add: SUGAR BABE (from Youngbloods) From: GUEST Date: 14 Jul 00 - 12:10 AM What I can remember off an old Youngbloods album. Used to sing it all the time but kind of let it slide & now I'm not sure if this is all - seems there was another verse in there somewhere, but maybe this will get you started. I'll try to look through my notes in the next couple of days & see if I have it written down somewhere.
Shoot your dice and have your fun, sugar babe
I got drunk and I fell on the floor, sugar babe
Shoot your dice & roll 'em in the sand, sugar babe
Put your hand on your hip & let your mind roll by, sugar babe |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: sugar babe? From: Whistle Stop Date: 14 Jul 00 - 08:10 AM That's how I remember it too, Guest, except the last verse is "your body's gonna SHRIVEL" (which makes more sense, when you think about it). I recall it from a great old live Youngbloods album called "Ride The Wind" -- out of print, as far as I know. |

"Goin' down town and get me a line,
"Goin' down town and get me a rope, I'm very fond of old recordings containing grossly politically incorrect (by present standards) lyrics by singers who claim, not only to be liberal and sensitive, but that they always have been. Peter. |
