Subject: OLYMPICS: Hold those tunes please From: Alan of Australia Date: 10 Sep 00 - 09:39 AM G'day, Life in Sydney's going to be pretty hectic for the next three weeks; I'll be away for some of that time. If you are tempted to send me any tunes for the Mudcat MIDI site please wait until after the Olympics. And divide each country's medal tally by their population. Whether that means much or not it should be interesting.
Cheers, |

Subject: RE: OLYMPICS: Hold those tunes please From: Susan from California Date: 10 Sep 00 - 11:21 AM Have fun Alan! When the olympics were here in LA 1n 1984(?) things went very well--better than most folks would have thought. I've always been an Olympics junkie, so I love to watch on TV or go in person when possible. A woman from the town I live in is on the water polo team, I hear the Aussie team is likely to give our women a run for their money! |

Subject: RE: OLYMPICS: Hold those tunes please From: Dale Rose Date: 10 Sep 00 - 03:03 PM I suppose that this is as good a place as any to put this remark. Besides coaching volleyball (which has been already been occupying a large part of my time for the last month or so) through the middle of October, I will be so busy with the required Olympics TV viewing, that I will be paying even less attention to Mudcat doings than I have been able to lately. I expect that either of two things will happen ~~ most likely whatever I could have added during that time will be added by someone else. In the unlikely event that it won't, I expect the Mudcat will survive. But if we all take an Olympic sized break, well then, maybe we should put up the BE BACK LATER sign! |

Subject: RE: OLYMPICS: Hold those tunes please From: sophocleese Date: 10 Sep 00 - 04:25 PM I'm trying to find out which local stations will show any of the women's soccer games. I watched Euro 2000 and enjoyed it but my daughter got upset because it was always men that were playing. Now I have to tape some games with women playing. This is one of the few occasions where I wish we had a TV with cable. |
