On camps I've been singing a version of the catchy song recorded by Derrick Harriot as 'Monkey Ska'; I also have a recording by The Soulful Dynamics of a slightly different version, just titled 'Monkey.' The Soulful Dynamics seems to be Liberian, but I'm wondering whether the Monkey song originated there or what.

I don't know how well versed in African music you people are...
