KGH, I play it in D - I don't know what key Alasdair Fraser does it in. (Have it in a tunebook in A, I think) I can put either the-way-I-do-it-but-it's-a-bit-different or the the one in the book into ABC or MIDI if you'd like.

The tune was written by Joan MacDonald Boes, BTW. (There was a thread on this a while back - I'll try to find it unless you find it first. I may have already posted the ABCs.)

There are several sets of ABCs in this thread. If you don't have the capability to read ABCs, I can turn them into a JPEG. You can e-mail me and I'll e-mail it back to you.

I got the ABC notations for "The Sweetness of Mary" from the previous thread and, I must confess, neither of them make much sense to me. I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to ABC so I'm a little confused here. Anyone else had the same reaction?

There is a wonderful solo guitar version of this strathspey on the first CD by the world's greates guitarist, Tony McManus.
