I asking for help from the great mudcat Guru's. I have been trying to reset my cookie for several days now, since I got back to work. I have also had problems with several E-mail set ups (not mudcat, just incidentaly). All these problems seem to have come about since I contributed to the Ghost thread a few days back, maybe I said too much.

If the administrators could help many thanks as I have a few pm's from Kat I wish to review.

Cheers Stu

Thanks to Karolina for the hints but no joy yet, I have tried the reset procedure but when I recieve the e-mail from mudcat central detailing the log on id and password the information is not there, the spaces for id etc are blank.

cheers

Stu

Talk about your weird cookies. The last time She (my sweet little joy and delight) made a batch of ginger cookies, one of them came out looking uncannilly like Elvis. We have turned it into a shrine, carefully preserved it under glass, and are charging admission...five bucks a pop to spend a minute or so gazing at the sacred cookie. There's a lineup outside right now halfway down the block. Orillia, Ontario will soon be a major pilgrimage site. I will soon be able to buy a high end Collings guitar, and that nuclear-powered "marital aid" that I've been wanting so badly (in order to catch up with Spaw). Life is good. Praise Elvis!!!

I can't reset my cookie either but I don't worry about it any more. It does have the advantage that I can make vitriolic, cowardly anonymous postings which cause much distress and anguish.

Ahhh Murray......Every cloud has a silver lining huh?

Have you guys posted this in the "Help" forum? Sometimes it takes a bit of time for Max, Pene, or Joe to get to it, but they have a better chance of helping you out than any of us.

Hey Stu, check your email. Murray, have you tried Joe's tips in the FAQ? Feel free to email me at mudcatazul@hotmail.com and/or post to the Help Forum if you need help.

Jeff

Sorry....Had another attack of assholism. I guess the day started poorly when I realized there are so many numbnuts around who never check the forum before asking a question and creating a new thread. There are a ton of things that some people never investigate around here and I think its colored my whole day. So I offer my apologies for thinking you might have fit the above categories in any way.........except for Murray, who I've known to be an asshole for a long time, much like myself.

Yes I have gone through the procedures, not once but several times, and although I get told my cookie is reset, it never is. However I will do it all again, like I say, it doesn't overly faze me and allows me to take the mickey (affectionately) out of these posters who always volunteer their location when they are posting as Guests. Childish of me , I know ....

Spaw raises an interesting point here, in Britain I was always described as an "arsehole" yet in the States I suddenly became an "asshole". Who is right ?

Pick the larger of the two Murray.

I think "arsehole" has a certain rustic charm, and is less offensive. Of course, one can simply spell "elohssa" instead (the backwards version), and then no one is offended, except dyslexics, that is. Sigh...

I have a similar problem with the cookie reset on Explorer. It allows me to reset my cookie and post as a member but does not allow me into my personal pages or to utilise any of the Quicklinks that membership allows. However, if I enter Mudcat through Nestcape, I have no such problems. Have you tried that Murray?

Tragic news!!! The Elvis cookie has been destroyed! Me and my little bundle of joy were out for a celebratory meal at the Ossawippi (most expensive eatery in Orillia), and we came back to discover that the chinchilla somehow got the glass case open...AND CONSUMED THE ENTIRE ELVIS COOKIE!!!

AAARGHHHH!!! NO! NO! NO!!!

There goes my high end Collings guitar! There goes my nuclear-powered marital aid! There goes my correspondence course on how to make $100,000 a year sexing water Buffalo (determining their gender, that is...) in Uganda. All gone because of one f**king chinchilla with a sweet tooth.

I am now pondering the merits of chinchilla stew...but my sweetie says if I do that, I'm in big trouble.

Decisions, decisions...

I would just like to point out that, although I love ginger cookies, the Hawkster is NOT rattling on (and on, and on,) about my baking skills.

And no, I don't know who his "bundle of joy" is ---
unless, his reflection?
