Subject: Seeking fiddle teacher in Montreal From: GUEST,Marion Date: 02 Jun 01 - 11:36 PM Hello. I just gave an introductory fiddle lesson to a friend in Montreal, and she is very interested in learning more. Does anyone know a good fiddle teacher in Montreal, Quebec? She wants to study fiddling as opposed to violin, but is not settled on a style of fiddling. My suspicion is that she would be into old time fiddling, as she likes the sound of double stops; but I guess a Celtic or Quebecois teacher would help her get started as well. Thanks, Marion |

Subject: RE: Seeking fiddle teacher in Montreal From: Peter Kasin Date: 03 Jun 01 - 05:48 AM There is a great, great, fiddle teacher moving to Montreal from Massachusetts this month, named Laura Risk. She is also an outstanding Celtic fiddler. I can get you her new address as soon as I get it. If you join Mudcat, I'll send it to you in a Personal Message. Membership is very easy - just go to the membership link. -chanteyranger |
