Hi Catters

Well I got back from the US and realised I still had loads of boxes to go through, chuckout etc..

When I was young I used to collect and hord things, but now I need some space and am getting rid of some things so I though it would be good to auyction some and that way mudcat can profit from it all.

I am auctioning -

1 - Yes, a plastic trout (for the monty Python fanatics) accompanied by a genuine antique FRENCH fishing net!!!

2 - An Antique English cast Iron Bean Slicer, its green, old and quite collectable I belive.

3 - 8 samll cute collectable tins, some with contents still in like gramaphone needles, also theres a lovely OXO tin, also quite a collectable little selection.

ALL MONEY IS GOING TO MUDCAT so go on support your mudcat!

Cheers, Sam

Allan - you collect tins? Anything special or tins in general? My bigger ones always go out with cookies but my miniatures seem to multiply. My favorite - tiny, round, yellow tins for watchmaker parts. I found them at a flea market for a nickle apiece.

Actually Sam, Allan and I are close to feuding. Dueling tins or some such thing. Your bean cutter is up for auction on ebay and is considered quite collectible. I really don't see the point of feeding in one bean at atime to cut them when you can snap four or five at once. But I do like the green. And the trout is mine!

Sorrreeee Sam, looks like people are more interested in yorkshire tea with signed brewing directions from bill.

Lets see who can get the biggest bid for mudcat.

We mite aswell try and raise as much as we can, seen as though it's for such a good cause.

JeZaBeL - They may well be but imagine owning a traditional English Yorkshire Oxo Tin or Better still an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE FRENCH (no less) Fishing net WITH a Plastic Trout - when will a chance like that come up to buy such objects of ??.....?? taste and panash

They also last longer than tea bags, which become very soggy and sad looking having been used!

Cheers, Sam

Wonder how much you could get if you auction an antique tea bag once used by Bill Sables? Suitable for framing.

Try as hard as u like Sam but my tea bags are still going down a better treat than your tins!!

I have a few points to make:

TEa bags TASTE nicer than old tins.....

YOu can sit and ENJOY a nice cuppa tea in the morning when all you can do with tins is look at them and put stuff in them.

AND.......If ur really stuck, I can send more tea over when people run out....as long as i get hersheys in return!!
