Are you mad as a box of snakes? Are you happy to let your reputation as a serious musician go down the pan? do you mind playing your melodeon whilst sqeezed in between two old age pensioners from Doncaster with confused looks on their faces? Well if the answer is yes to all of these questions then have we got something for you!!! This coming Saturday is another Hull to Bridlington folk train. Be at Hull station at about 7.30pm and sing all the way to Brid and back again -(there will be about an hour in Brid station which has the best acoustics in Yorkshire. )CAMRA provide free ale and of course the train journey is free - last time, well, it was a bit surreal but entirely pleasurable. So learn those verses of Mr Tambourine Man now and if you think you can make it, please PM me or e-mail at barrington67@hotmail.com. (on behalf of Les from Hull whose computer is sicker than he is)

If all the 'ull catters get the train, Ickle, there'll be no room for any real passengers!

Sounds fun.

Noreen

Train whistle blowing,
Makes a sleepy noise...

Sorry Cobble that was me, someone nicked me biscuit!

I believe that it's 8.10 from Hull Paragon, so we should meet on the station platform a bit before that so that we can get useful seats. The train comes in from Sheffield so I'll get the full timings. Any chance of a harp, John and Chris? Musicians travel free from Hull unless there's more than 21 of us!

Les

Willa - the train leaves Hull at 8.16. There's plenty of free tickets so don't part with any money. I've already mentioned to the bloke running it that there's at least one getting on at Cottingham. Will anyone be getting on at Beverley? Please let us know.

Les

Excellent.. (in my best Mr Burns voice). I just went to the Market and there were five Dance Teams in my way - Green Ginger x2, Grimsby x2 and Horwich. So I've signed up some extra musicians (including Phil and Ann on fiddles). It looks like there'll be loads of us!

Thanks for a lovely time everyone -didn't get up till midday -I wonder why. Did Emma make it to work on time I wonder?(We resumed the session at my house till two oclock this morning). Jezebel and Maggie were doing the waltz in my kitchen -Bill as drinking vast quantities of tea and everyone else was on the falling down water- it was the perfect end to a perfect evening. we talked, we sung and we thought of all our friends in America -sad but happy. It was also John from Hulls birthday -so we let him sing (well it's only once a year!)

I was very very drunk! Can somebody remind me what I sang? I got to work today, and my boss had made me a curry, he did not seem to understand why I didn't feel like eating. I seem to recall Les, Maggie, Cobble and myself singing on our way home (Chanterlands Ave) I hope your neighbours don't complain Ickle Dorrit! I really enjoyed it, please lrt me know when the next one is, or has my singing put you off? :-)
