Subject: Radio: None Tonight Again, Sorry From: Max Date: 25 Sep 01 - 05:01 PM Sorry Folks, no radio again tonight. Elf Rob's band is entered into the Philadelphia Battle of the Bands tonight, and we're all going to support him. It's Rock and all, but they are very good and deserving of our presence. I hope you all forgive me and I hope to see you all next week. Thank you for your understanding. |

Subject: RE: Radio: None Tonight Again, Sorry From: Jeri Date: 26 Sep 01 - 09:43 AM Well, I had an extra "Mudcat" in my last post - I don't really think it's Rob's last name. Wondering how Rob's band did... |

Subject: RE: Radio: None Tonight Again, Sorry From: Max Date: 26 Sep 01 - 02:14 PM You will all be happy to know that Pilot Round the Sun (Elf Rob's Band) won the semi-final round of The Philadelphia Battle of the Bands. Local support was very impressive. We carpooled 50 people from West Chester all the way into Philly for the night. It was very inspiring, we transplanted what we usually do here in town, into a strange bar downtown. The finals will be in the next month or so in a very big venue. I feel very good about their chances, and where these guys are going to go. They are very hard workers, full of musical integrity, free from pretentiousness, and just down right GREAT. After that bar kicked us out, Emily and I found an Irish Pub with the goal of staying till they kick us out. They did that very politely around 2:30am. Then we proceeded to the Philadelphia airport and slept on a bench till 4:30am when they let Emily check in for a flight to Denver, Colorado for the Great American Beer Festival where she has a Vienna Lager (brewed at the Pub downstairs) entered into the contest. She's gonna have a lot of fun there and drink a lot of the 5000 beers in the contest. She'll be hung over for a week I'll betcha. Anyhow, you'll be glad to know that we have come up with some new technology that we are using and testing right now that helps us keep the Mudcat from going belly up when I'm not around. Some of our elite JoeClones have some new powers that can potentially fix the things that cause the hiccups. It's a big step, and we're very hopeful and excited. Boy, I'm very tired today. |
