the only song that i know about which talks about the chain gang is one that was done by sam cooke back in the 50's, maybe that'll hekp BOB

Sorry, I don't know the album. Buy you can go to a website called www.recordgraveyard.com They specialize in finding old and rare records, cd's, and tapes. I don't know how good they are but you should probably give them a try.

Could it be these guys (click here) that you're asking about? A Google search shows several bands called "The Chain Gang," but this one seems the most likely of the bunch. I was unable to find any albums listed for them, but if this is the band you're thinking of, they have an email addy on their Web site; you could write them and ask.
