Anyone have a good source for purchasing guitar string sets a dozen or more at a time. Elderly formerly sold string sets by the dozen at a discount, but discontinued that deal several years ago?

Peter beat me to it. I get my strings from Euphonon, and it works out to just a little over two bucks per set. I also get my mandolin strings there. Funny company -- it's mail order, but they don't accept credit cards, so you have to mail them a check and then they mail back the strings. Good idea to call the first (they answer the phone "Hello?") to make sure you understand the shipping/handling charges, extra costs for straight (non-coiled) strings, volume discounts, etc. But it's a good deal.

I used Euphonon strings for years. Great strings, even at a store's price.

Two bucks a set, Whistle Stop? Gee, we just paid $24 for strings vor my future stepson's violin. I guess violin strings are a bit more complex than guitar strings, but it doesn't seem they would be THAT much different.

Dusty Strings in Seattle sells bulk strings, and takes credit cards, too. I work there, but not in the retail shop. Email for info.
