Damn! I'll be on my way back from the Stoney Stratford "do". Is there going to be another one linked to the Caversham Folk Festival in 2002?

Roger - too early to know as regards Caversham but it seems likely. Now let me see... Handsworth Grammar, say c1957-62? I'am just guessing.

When I was a little lad working for the Dept of unemployment (c1970), Handsworth was where they sent you if you'd been caught doing something that they couldn't sack you for ... like the Russian Front for the Germans.

Sorry about the Thread Creep ... Maybe the organisers, or the fans, can put on a few more shows and spread it around a bit more?

Steve

Thank you, Steve! The school was a bit like that (King Edward's School rejects- tho' it was my first choice as my dad'd old school -tho' he was removed at 14 to go on the dole 'cos he spent too much time playing soccer and not enough studying!!).
BUT, do I know you, Smithy, under another name? I've lost touch with all my old school mates. One came to my wedding but since then I've seen no-one. My dad has run across a couple since but never remembers to take their address or give them mine!
RtS (usually called "Shrig" at school)

Roger - as I say I was guessing. You replied to a thread about a Black Country "Bible" in which you described your school badge and I took a stab at the dates. Steve - yes, we may be looking at other dates and venues in other parts of the country for the future. We are on the case.
