In the early 1950's, Gene Autry sang a kids' song called "If It Doesn't Snow On Christmas," and all I can remember of the lyrics is:

If it doesn't snow on Christmas, how is Santa gonna use his sleigh?

If it doesn't snow on Christmas, how is Santa gonna get to us?
If he breaks down on his way to town, will they let him use a bus?

Oh, I sent him a nice long letter, and I hope it's not in vain,

People say he has eight reindeer for the sleigh he's drivin' here,
But how'll he go if it doesn't snow on Christmas this year?

Does anyone know who wrote the song (Gene, himself, maybe?) and what the missing line(s) is(are)?
