i wish i was a red rosy bush standing by the sea and every time my true love passed she'd take a flower from me

i wish i had a little white box oh to keep her in i'd take her out and kiss her hair and put her back in again

i wish i was some dark holler where the sun never shines and if my true loved love someone else i'd know she wasnt mine

I heard this song sung by Peter and Isabelle Gardner at Greenwich Village (Gerde's Folk City) in 1962 and loved it. Thanks for posting the lyrics, bob jr. Are there more verses?
