I've been asked to sing at an Irish-Scottish wedding and am looking for some songs that may be appropriate. The only one that Iknow is Mairi's Wedding and the piper will be playing that .Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Rick,

Go to the filter box, and type in wedding, and set number of days to 90 and you'll find heaps.

We had 2 threads recently one called "Folksongs appropriate for a wedding", the other "Irish wedding mass".

I'm sure you'll find something there.

A better song/tune to play for weddings is about 200/300 years old. Written by Duncan Bàn MacIntyre, Màiri Bhàn Òg. is one of the favourite slow pieces in Cape Breton. The song was written at the time of his wedding to his wife. They lived together for many long years. The tune is available at
