Trying to trace the origins of the "other" hippopotamus song".

(I had a hippopotamus, I kept him in a shed etc)

A friend of ours said that at about the same time, there was an even sillier song where the punch line was "My budgerigar has turned into an orang outang!"

Can anyone supply the lyrics to this?!!!!

Any help on the origins of the hippopotamus song or lyrics and tune for the budgie song appreciated.
