Subject: BS: Happy New Year--going great so far! From: GUEST Date: 03 Jan 03 - 01:19 PM Well, there seems to be no shortage of "ain't it an awful new year" threads, and by golly, we are only on day 3 of 365! So for those of you who have been fortunate enough to experience the positive side of the holidays and new year turning, this thread is for you! As it turned out this year, there were all sorts of changes and last minute plans with family and friends on the eve. At around 3 pm, it became obvious that if I chose to stay in, I would be home alone. I was delighted! I ran out to fetch some supplies (DVDs, munchies & drink), and ended up having a blissful, peaceful, highly enjoyable night to myself--a rarity! I'm so glad I didn't go out. I watched the New Years fireworks from the upstairs window, and appreciated how quiet our neighborhood was this year. So! Thus far, the new year is humming along nicely, though we're still entertaining troops from out of town. The friends of our teen from out of town shall all be gone 7th of January, and all will be back to school and work come the 13th. It has been a very lovely holiday season for us. Best wishes to all! |

Subject: RE: BS: Happy New Year--going great so far! From: Catherine Jayne Date: 03 Jan 03 - 02:06 PM We have had a lovely New Year so far and hopefully it will get even better. We started the New Year with friends and a lot of food and wine. New Years day was spent tidying up and nursing our hangovers. Now we are relaxing before work starts again. |
