Subject: RE: Deep in the Heart of Texas? From: Barry Finn Date: 14 Jul 98 - 12:08 AM My hat is tall, I say ya'll.......... My belt is tight, I drink at night.....
I hunt praire dogs, hares & hogs.....
I likes to kid the bull, & chew steel wool....
How my boots do shine, but they ain't mine......
When I go south, I tilt my mouth....
I gonna go back home, where the wild sheep roam.. Sorry, couldn't control myself. I'm not taking the piss out of you Texans, I'm taking the piss out of us weekend warriors from the ice packs. Barry

Subject: RE: Origins: Deep in the Heart of Texas From: GUEST,jim bainbridge Date: 13 Jul 23 - 02:15 PM This was a big hit in wartime Britain but it was added to the list of banned songs on BBC radio. The reason- while listening to programmes like 'Music while you work' munitions workers were interrupting their important work by clapping three times & disrupting the production lines. |
