This Sunday...April 13th. the Open Door Folk Club proudly presents an evening with Jim Payne and Fergus O'Byrne...two of Newfoundlands finest!! Multi-instrumentalists, singers and storytellers presenting new and traditional material reflecting the maritime traditions and history of Newfoundland.

As far as we know this is their only appearance in the North West...not to be missed!!

Open Door,
Bulls Head,
Oldham Road, Failsworth, Manchester.

If you want me to design a website for you, Les, all you have to do is ask! ;^)

Yup... I confess... the Open Door site, the Railway site and my own sites are all my own work. Wicker-bottom chairs repaired while you wait...!

Well, these two certainly gave us an entertaining evening! Their material was comfortingly 'familiar', and they were both easy-going, very approachable gentlemen. No 'superstar' airs and graces, despite the reputation which preceded them - and which they lived up to!

They plan to visit the UK around this time next year, so watch this space!

I'll update our website over the next couple of days - I've quite a few good pictures for you to see!
