Two and a half hours up the M5 or M6; M42, M1, M18, M180 and A15 to Barton is the Sloop. On Tuedays. Enjoy a dodgy pint and possibly the worst toilets this side of the Khyber Pass.

Hope that is helpful, Billy Bob.

cresby.com is a good place to start - mainly because I link to sites in the area and refuse to remember their URL's. Bob Taberner does a good site covering B'ham. There is a good session in the Old Crown in Digbeth alt (Mondays I think) and two Clubs that I do list (Fri and Sun). Let us know of any you find.

Further north in Walsall and Chase Terrace there are some good clubs and Coventry has resurrected Jasper Carrots old club.

And of course there's always Brewers Droop on a Thursday. If it's not cancelled eh Ms Lemon (like The Six Bells was!)

The Brewers' Droop gig went well and the audience and organisers got what they wanted. I was asked to sing blues, and so I did.

Sorry, it must have been somebody else who told people that there was something else on so not many would be at The Bells and it probably wouldn't be worth going - nice move!
