I was driving into work this sunny morning, wondering how things could get any better, when all of a sudden I hear "Skipjack says Hello to All Mudcatters", from the radio. Yes on Radio 2, on the Sarah Kennedy Show no less.
Now I hasten to add it wasn't Skipjack's voice that I heard, but the sentiment was there.

"Hello" back at you Skippy, and all the best.

This is SERIOUSLY SPOOKY!!
I was doing some ironing before it got too hot, and, FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME tuned into radio 2. Within a minute or two I heard Skip's message.

Is it coincidence or telepathy?

We're winning, s2p. NZ's National Wireless played Little Grass Shack.... for me on "Old Farts' Folksong", well, the "Geriatric Git's Gospel", (or somesuch), last Saturday night. My request was, of course, inspired by the above thread.

What the hell was the story about? I was listening a bit this morning, but didn't hear the mention. I can't remember what I wrote, but I think it was nominating John Wayne is Big Leggy for the love hate spot. I'll have a listen to the re-run on the electric interent tonight.

No, seriously, I sent in a bit about the 40 days weather, and tagged onto the end of it, 'please say hello to Skipjack and all the other Mudcatters', because I know Skippy sometimes listens in.

This brings my tally up to 3 Dawn Patrols, 2 Wake up to Wogans, 1 Ken Bruce and a Johnny Walker.

I missed it myself, was on the train, slowly par-boiling.

I'm feeling slightly aggrieved.. when people thought it was Skippy, he got people saying hello back. Now I've owned that it was me, what do I get...? Nothing. Nada. Zip, zilch and zorro.
