Subject: RE: BS: Operating instructions for a mug From: Bsondahl Date: 20 Jul 03 - 10:10 PM Yes, I kind of hang out with the INBA folks in Spokane, playing guitar, harmonica, old time and blues. My wife sometimes recycles in Smelterville, stuff we can't get rid of round here. She was a pastor in Pinehurst for a while. Brad |

Subject: RE: BS: Operating instructions for a mug From: Deda Date: 20 Jul 03 - 11:49 PM HAR HAR. I bought a candle at a garage sale yesterday. On the bottom was a tag which read, "1. create fire. 2. apply to wick." There was an earlier thread once about ridiculous instructions. Like the note on the back of car-windshield sunscreens which say, "Warning: Do not drive with sunscreen in place". |

Subject: RE: BS: Operating instructions for a mug From: rangeroger Date: 21 Jul 03 - 12:30 AM Brad, I think I've met your wife. If she was at the Lutheran Church she performed the funeral services for a friends wife, Wendy Freudenberg. rr |

Subject: RE: BS: Operating instructions for a mug From: Sam L Date: 21 Jul 03 - 05:40 PM I remember a really funny explanation of patent law and inventing on an inventors forum, using a cup as an example. I think maybe I wrote it. Oh yeah, I did. If I can find it I'll post it. We once had a sleeping bag that came with instructions. |

Subject: RE: BS: Operating instructions for a mug From: Bsondahl Date: 21 Jul 03 - 07:44 PM Rangerroger--right church, wrong pastor--an earlier one, Kate LePard. Fred-- I figured someone else would have come up with something similar--I'd be happy to see it. Brad |

Subject: RE: BS: Operating instructions for a mug From: Gurney Date: 22 Jul 03 - 07:02 AM Tonge-in-cheek aside, I was told by a junk-shop owner that he can no longer sell bycycles as he cannot supply an owners manual! This is in the bastion of the free, clean green New Zealand. The Bastureaucrats are going to get us all. |

Subject: RE: BS: Operating instructions for a mug From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 22 Jul 03 - 10:13 AM In 1994 I took my first trip abroad, to England and Scotland. We visited a little church, hints were dropped that we should buy a beaker to support it. Turns out a beaker is a mug. Is this the standard term in the UK? Until the mug came out of its crate, I thought I had solved the enigma of the Beaker People. Bsondahl: nice mugs. |

Subject: RE: BS: Operating instructions for a mug From: Keith A of Hertford Date: 22 Jul 03 - 10:39 AM beakers usually have no handles. The instructions should accordingly be very different. The Beaker People did indeed leave beakers. keith. |
