Subject: RE: Hello MrCattail From: Cattail Date: 05 Dec 03 - 05:23 PM Spot, you should have a PM from me waiting for you, to send one back to me go to the top of the main page where you you will find a box which has "quick links" on it, click on the arrow at the side of this to drop down the menu, highlight the "send personal message" one and click "go". Follow the instructions re names etc and type the message as usual. There doesn't seem to be a quick way back to main page except for back spacing your way back, (I've probably missed something). Incidentally, note down your password (or remember it) so that if you lose you cookie you can go to the same place (the quick links box) and log in again from there. Hear from you soon. Cheers Cattail ! |

Subject: RE: Hello MrCattail From: Cattail Date: 05 Dec 03 - 06:26 PM Spot. I've just come across your post in the BS section, you have got more threads going on here than Max has. If we still need to communicate by threads then keep using this one. Even if a thread drops off the list, (which it can do very quickly), you can find it again by going to the box near the top of the page which has "Age 1 day" in it, click the arrow at the side to drop the menu down and select 3 days, 7 days or whatever, and then click on the refresh button. After you have put your message in as usual, and hit submit, you will find that the thread has now come to the top of the main listing. If you want to stop a thread dropping off the bottom you could just type refresh in the message box, to bring it to the top again, though I would only do this for a couple of times if you got no answer. Don't forget that each time a thread is started it is added to the listings and is also cross indexed with everything else, therebye using up lots of server space which I think we should try to conserve. Hope to hear from you shortly by PM. Bye for now Cattail ! |

Subject: RE: Hello MrCattail From: JennyO Date: 05 Dec 03 - 11:09 PM Also now that you are a member you can trace threads that you want to keep a track of, either by clicking on "add to tracer" just above the message box, or by clicking on "trace" over on the right next to the thread name on the main forum page. The threads you trace are kept on your personal page so that you can find them any time. If you don't want to keep them there any more, you can also de-trace them by clicking on the same place and reversing the procedure. Jenny |
