Les remembers the black & white days, and them times wehn people loved in a paper bag in a cesspit etc.
Les is reallly old, every session in Hull, Les tells us about the olden times, ie wehen they had different money ie groats and florins etc, and no electric,. and no gas, and no cars etc.

No jOhn, money is a newfangled thing. We used barter then. You must have misheard me when I said it was one groat to get in the Flok Club. It was actually one GOAT.

And you may have met my OLDER brother, who reads these threads occasionally.

People with multiple personalities should share with those who don't have any.

And another thing. Don't ever believe a word of what jOhn says. Unless he's telling you the truth, that is.

Hi, Julie

Happy New Year.

Visit Cottingham Live any Wednesday evening:
http://www.hammonda.fsnet.co.uk/program.html

Or try Nellie's any Monday evening.
There's a friendly session every Tuesday evening at The Sun in Beverley, and the First Sunday session at The Monks' Walk in Beverley on Feb 1st.

watch out for Nellie's not only is it not called Nellie's they are still in the gas light era. But just to make it easy for you the pub is right by the bus station (through the hole in the wall). The pub called "the Push" had to have it's name changed to the Push because it had a big sign on the front door that said PUSH so they all called it that. (It's a North Humberside cultural affectation I think)

Your greeting was a little late and a little short jOhn. Most of us will need to tuck it in the attic and save it for next season.

tHanx, jOh n,

Sincerely,

Gargoyle

Like a wine or cheese perhaps, it will mature, or-then-again, perhaps, it may mold.

Julie, you can always take a walk on the wild side, and come over the Humber Bridge to the Tuesday night session in the Six Bells, Barrow Upon Humber, North Lincs. PM me for directions if you want to see how the yellowbellies thump it out.

*giggle*

(I hope that's original, Don...I'd be proud to be associated with someone who said that.)
