In Maine one of our most successful micro brews is Shipyard Ale. In honor of that good brew and the good company, I am dedicating this drinking song based on one of the traditional versions of "When Jones Ale Was New":

The landlord's daughter she came in,
We kissed her betwixt the knee and the chin,

Then Charley Noble came through the door,
Had one glass, fell through the floor,

The next one in was Dick Dufresne,
Tossed off a pint and felt no pain,

Then in came Nor and Eli Dale,
They drink their Shipyard by the pail,

Next Jennifer flew in through the gate,
Drinking twice as fast for she'd come in late,

We drank so much of the ale and stout,
They had to close the place and throw us out,
