I'm looking for the words to a song that appeared on John Denver's fifth RCA album "Aeory" (horribly misspelled, sorry). The album after Poems prayers & Promises and before Rocky Mountain High. It about a veteran attending an anti-war demonstration in Washington DC when Nixon had everyone sent to a sports arena, when it was broken up. I used to have the album, sorry now that I gave it up. Thanks.

I've just tried a search on this but can't find a song with that spelling. I don't recognise the song either.

BUT

If you put in the following search on Yahoo you will get LOADS of stuff up and you might recognise the title:

I'm amazed that so many of his lyrics are so freely available.

"Readjustment Blues", written by his friend Bill Danoff (who wrote several songs JD recorded.

The album was Aerie. I have it on vinyl. Not sure if it was ever released on CD. Most recognizable song on it was "The Eagle and the Hawk" (I am the eagle; I live in high country...)
