Charlie...Lord Brockett, is a descendant of the Lord brockett made famous in the song "The seven men of Knoydart",which was on Hamish Imlachs' first LP.
The song told the story of seven Ex servicemen who lived on the Knoydart estate ,owned by absentee landlord ...Lord Brockett.
Its a great song and shows the attitude of the English aristocracy to "the natives".....Ake

I don't why people should watch this sort of crap, I mean I watched it for the first and last time last night, and I thought was a boring programme. There are more important things that is happening in the world, than wondering if some so called famous person wins to be crowned king/queen of the Jungle.

Come on Tam - it's brilliant mindless bilge - ideal to watch just before you go to bed. You end up with a numb mind without the expense of alcohol, or whatever your favourite mind numbing substance is, enjoy a good night's sleep - no worries about real life etc - and wake up refreshed for work in the morning. (By the way did you know that Jordan has pumped 6 kilos of silicon into those things. I put less weight than that in my shopping trolley.)

It is fairly appalling the way it sucks you in to waiting to see if anyone is going to say anything faintly sensible.

However, so far all I've seen of JRotten is a man with a big opinion of himself not borne out by any evidence - hack ideas strung together with a pretence of originality, but no cohesion.

Katie Price with her dreadful voice and preening is deeply unimpressive (although respect for the food trials).

Mike Reid seems to be doing his best not to let his relatively obvious intelligence show too much - a deep game perhaps keeping out of the line of fire, but he may be playing it down too much and get dropped for being "boring".

Of Brockett and Bond, how nice it is to hear some people speak properly, and not be constantly pushing their own self importance.

But perhaps the worst has to be Alex Best who as soon as she found the courage to speak out loud produced the most amazing string of solecisms and displays of ignorance - I recently heard her telling Kerry McFadden (who apparently will believe anything) that there was nothing in Australia before England shipped its convicts there and that all Australians are descended from convicts!!

Poor little Peter Andre was just pathetic following Jordan around like a dachsund with a hard on!

Ruddock is not offensive.

McFadden is deeply uninteresting.

Modahl has left it too late to light the torch of her possible injustice.

There was a plaintive request from various animal rights groups this week, asking that the animals be removed. Apparently being stuck in the jungle with all those nasty people is too stressful and potentially harmful to the poor wee bugs and beasties... Anti Animal Cruelty groups have petitioned the TV company to remove the creatures or to not use them in 'stunts'.

Does anyone still believe they are in a real jungle miles from anywhere?

I still think it's rubbish, I think it's as bad as big brother and shatterd. I like excitement in my life. what do these people really do do on these programmes except sleep, fart, scratching their neather regions and you call this shite entertaintment.
I have a better time in bed with the tooth ache. It's bloody shite.

So that's why I don't watch these 'exciting' programmes.

Interesting - apparently while the cameras were soft focusing on Peter Andre and Jordan doing the horizontal rumba poor old Mike Reid had written a full musical performed by the other less sexually blatant members and it wasn't ever shown. Poor bloke didn't even know he was being put over as the quiet one who never does anything - fix or what! BTW I don't actually watch it so if this is wrong blame the media reporters.

Little Kerry seems to be turning out quite wise, in a common sense sort of way.
Lydon is very sweet.
Andre is fun but naive - but I thought his cockney poem was brilliant.
Alex Best & Brocket seem to have a tentative romance going.
The rest make little impression.

Before this, I had only heard Jordan on the Frank Skinner show and did think she was vulnerable and a bit pitiful. Now I think she is a complete self centred egomaniac.I always have been a lousy judge of character.

A week ago I thought Kerry was a complete pain in the butt.Now I am warming to her. Luckily I have never been on jury service yet.

Whereas Johnny Boy I have always loved.And Never Mind the Bollocks has gone into the top 75 and expected to hit the high spots in next weeks figures. Must be time to update mine to CD.
