Subject: RE: Welcome to new 'catter Villan From: mouldy Date: 06 Feb 04 - 02:51 AM Welcome from me too, here in Yorkshire. I have a lifetime Villa supporter (and guitar player) as a prospective son-in-law. Not only that, he has got my younger daughter supporting them, and also my friend's young son, who hero-worships him. He and my older daughter live (totally by coincidence) on the edge of a development called Villa Fields (although that is not the address) and she has flatly refused to let him call the house Villa Park! Subject: RE: Welcome to new 'catter Villan From: Hollowfox Date: 06 Feb 04 - 04:05 PM Welcome to the party, from the other side of the pond. I've always found the villan to be the most interesting character in movies and such... |

Subject: RE: Welcome to new 'catter Villan From: Rasener Date: 06 Feb 04 - 04:25 PM he he he Firstly for those who are not knowledgeable - may I explain If you are a Villa supporter, then you are a Villan, not a Villain (although some may think we are) I can only assume that Mr Red is a Man U supporter!!!! Moocowpoo you have such a wonderful vocabulary :-) Mouldy Andrea, do let them call their house Villa Park and they will be your best friends forever. As for Yorkshire - tha's not far away - I presume somewhere near Whitby (such a lovely place), so that you can watch or even partake in the folk festivals. Steve Parkes - thats not much then :-) Hoolowfox, when you say the other side of the pond, I assume Europe or could I be wrong!!! RtS I new immediately that you were a decent bloke. :-) Just been listening to Jacko Diamonds by Wild Willy Barrett which I like a lot. Anyway and once again many thanks for the welcome |

Subject: RE: Welcome to new 'catter Villan From: C-flat Date: 06 Feb 04 - 07:06 PM Welcome Villan. Pity we won't be seeing you at Cardiff later this month but I'm hoping the Boro will give Bolton a thrashing that will be to your satisfaction. C-flat. |

Subject: RE: Welcome to new 'catter Villan From: Rasener Date: 07 Feb 04 - 02:22 AM C-flat. I reckon that Middlesborough are going to have to play their socks off if they want to beat Bolten. I just hope that it is as good as the 2 matches with the Villa. Open Mike - not sure where you are from but Villa are an English football team. http://www.avfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Welcome |

Subject: RE: Welcome to new 'catter Villan From: mouldy Date: 07 Feb 04 - 03:35 AM It's not me that's forbidden the name for their house...it's 'er indoors! Mind you, it is a mite small to merit a grand sounding name like that. It's a 12 year old modern starter home (aka back-to-back, 2 up 2 down, end terrace). It only has one external door, and a pocket handkerchief of a garden. Yes I go to Whitby, but I have about a 75 mile drive to get there as I live almost as close to the bottom of N. Yorks as you can get. If you look at the shape of the county, I live around the "pimple" on its bottom! Is the fact that Villa share the same slogan as the Scouts of any significance? Andrea ps - The lad across the road supports them too: it's safer than supporting either ManU or Leeds around here. |

Subject: RE: Welcome to new 'catter Villan From: Mr Red Date: 07 Feb 04 - 08:28 AM Villan - not even a West Bromwich Ambulances, Preston Both Ends, or yet Renta-Sunderland supporter. But I did work at the GEC Witton for 5 years as an apprentice and frequented the Holt Pub on prestige occasions. Though don't get me on my one and only visit to Villa Park - I was 4 years old and my feelings to football have never recovered. Thankyou AV. |

Subject: RE: Welcome to new 'catter Villan From: Rasener Date: 07 Feb 04 - 10:25 AM Andrea I'm not sure if the Villa would like to be associated with the scouts. Won't say anymore on that. Hey Mr Red - What a small world. I worked at GEC Witton as a Commercial Apprentice and then for GEC Witton in several divisions. Namely Rectifier Division and Witton Moulded Plastics. Then worked for Guinness Plastics when Weistock sold them to Guinness. Played football for GEC until I damaged my right eye. Never played since. Moved up to Scotland and worked for Borg Warner Chemicals in Grangemouth later on. Les |
