Fairport convention is doing its only Welsh tour on Tuesday 10th February at Municipal Art Centre,Pontypridd,nr Cardiff.

I was hoping for some feedback as this thread suggests - I've got tickets for their Canterbury gig on Feb 18th. As Fairport are usually ace I'm not too worried about lack of pre-information but has anyone seen them on this tour and if so, who's in the line-up this year???

Well, Manitas and I saw a poster advertising this tour last week, we both agreed that even the whippersnapper is starting to look his age, but when we compared it to the Dubliners publicity poster, they all look like teenagers.

I been around for a year watching the threads and its only been lately i been brave enough to write.So thanks Fionn for your welcome and i will let you know about the concert on Tuesday.

Well i thought it was very good,Simon and Dave are as good as they ever were in the sixties.The drummer Gerry Conway was a amazing and Chris on fiddle and mandolin was out of this world.Finally RIC saunders was hit hot on fiddle.Brilliant concert with songs from the sixties upto the new album which is not released yet.It was definately worth going and see and watch them play for over 2 hours.
Hope thats what you wanted to hear.
