Subject: RE: Cold Mountain Lyrics available From: Geoff the Duck Date: 26 Feb 04 - 01:56 PM We wouldn't split hairs about it! It is useful to have lyrics posted somewhere, and the site looks as if it might be useful. It just took a minute to find Oh Brother Where Art Thou. My criticism of the site is that it sends about 115 cookies for every page you view. I like to personally vet cookies so that I can decide who puts information onto my computer, and find it VERY annoying to constantly be breaking off from my surfing to cancel or accept the things. Quack! Geoff the Duck. |

Subject: RE: Cold Mountain Lyrics available From: Eugene Judge Date: 26 Feb 04 - 07:27 PM Geoff I agree. Funny though, after reading your post I found on my desktop a "pop-up blocker" don't know where it came from, assume that my better half or my "tech son" picked it up from somewhere. So I installed it and it seems to work giving you the option to accept a "pop-up" or not. I'll find the source and put it up as a "Tech post". There's stacks of soundtrack stuff on this site. |

Subject: RE: Cold Mountain Lyrics available From: Geoff the Duck Date: 07 Mar 04 - 12:20 PM 115 was a typo due to the sticking "1" key. The count for Oh Brother worked out as 23 including ones sent by the two pop-ups it opened.(currently my Opera Quick Options are set to allow pop-ups). Quack! GtD. |

Subject: Lyr Add: I'M GOING HOME From: Burke Date: 10 Mar 04 - 04:50 PM I'm pretty sure it's been posted before, but it's easier to just copy again: I'M GOING HOME p. 282 in Sacred Harp Tune: Leonard P. Breedlove, 1850 Meter: Long Meter Half (8,8) Farewell, vain world! I'm going home! My Savior smiles and bids me come, And I don't care to stay here long! Chorus: Right up yonder, Christians, away up yonder; Oh, yes, my Lord, for I don't care to stay here long. I'm glad that I am born to die, From grief and woe my soul shall fly, And I don't care to stay here long! (Chorus) Bright angels shall convey me home, Away to New Jerusalem, And I don't care to stay here long! (Chorus) |
