Subject: new music sessions From: GUEST,welsh weasel Date: 16 Mar 04 - 07:18 AM The Abbey Inn, Bramley has started a singers/musicians night on Tuesdays, from 9pm. The emphasis is on fun rather than precision and it's all a bit ramshackle but we do have a good time. If you want to come along and sing, play or listen, it would be great to see you. Alternatively,I've heard that the the sessions at the Princess at Rawdon have resumed after a fairly lengthy hiatus. This also takes place on Tuesdays (bugger!) and always used to be an excellent occasion, so if it's difficult for you to get to Bramley, go to Rawdon. You're assured of a friendly welcpme at either place. |

Subject: RE: new music sessions From: welsh weasel Date: 18 Mar 04 - 03:54 AM OOps! My provincialism got the better of me. Bramley is indeed in West Yorkshire, about 4 miles north of Leeds. The address of the Abbey is Pollard Lane, Bramley, Leeds. The address of the Princess is Apperley Lane, Rawdon, Leeds. Don't forget. It all happens in North Leeds on Tuesday nights. |

Subject: RE: new music sessions From: The Unicorn Man Date: 18 Mar 04 - 08:48 AM How far away from Little Beck is that? Cos I live in Luton Beds but every year we come up to stay in Little Beck and end up going to Whitby Folk Club and of course the great Robinhood's Bay Folk Club, so if it's still on when we come up that sounds great. |
