This is brilliant, John ! Thank you for cheering me up after a decidedly grim week. I love this man's idea of making spoof 'factual' websites to catch people unawares while 'googling' for information on the web. I did this at school on a much smaller scale to trick a girl who was renowned for pinching other people's homework : I invented a totally fictitious French writer, close friend of Jean Paul Sartre and Albert Camus, complete with bizarre-but-just-about-believable life history of love and languor on the Left Bank, quotes from his most famous works and so on. Terrific fun. (Yes: she included him in her essay). To do this kind of thing on the grand scale of the World Wide Web: fantastic ! I was reading in the paper this week about an apparent call girl whose steamy online web diary has been avidly read around the world - but who turns out to be a spoof author. Great stuff.
