Subject: RE: Judy Cook at Faversham FC From: Art Thieme Date: 11 Apr 04 - 11:40 AM Yes, definitely. Judy is a thoroughly entertaining singer who has a real dedication to the enlightening big songs/ballads that so beautifully bring back vivid pictures of other eras. She and Dennis are touring in those isles for a month I think. For what it's worth, please go and hear her. Request the lumberjack camp song "The Shanty Boy On The Big Eau Clair". It is a rather remarkable 19th century tale. (I know.) And try to recognize the melody!! D. and J.-------Have a great trip. I bring you greetings from everyone at Stirf.. Art Thieme |

Subject: RE: Judy Cook at Faversham FC From: Carly Date: 12 Apr 04 - 07:39 PM If you are even idly contemplating going to hear Judy --Go! We are lucky enough to get to sing with her ( and Dennis, too!) and enjoy their music and company often here in the Washington DC area; don't miss your chance! Her love and appreciation of the songs shines through everything she sings; and she has a real talent for unearthing little-known gems. |

Subject: RE: Judy Cook at Faversham FC From: Janice in NJ Date: 13 Apr 04 - 12:45 AM Judy is truly a delightful singer. I love her song about the little pig the escapes from the pen and goes to the city where he fits right in. |

Subject: RE: Judy Cook at Faversham FC From: GUEST,KB Date: 13 Apr 04 - 05:50 AM Definitely!! Go and see her. Judy is lovely, she is passionate and exuberant about the songs, and puts them across superbly - beautiful voice. I don't think I've ever seen anyone so infectiously happy, her introductions are fascinating, and she loves people to join in the refrains. She and Dennis are lovely people, and you'll have a great time. Kris |
